Monday 6.04.20
Mon 06 Apr 2020Hi everyone :)
I hope you had a good weekend? I thought the Queen was excellent last night and such a good role model to us all.
Thank you for all your messages and pictures. It is lovely to see all the things you have been doing with your families. We would like to put your pictures on the website. Please email and let us know if this is not ok with you.
It is very strange to be starting another week without you all, but I am trying to console myself with the fact that we would be on holiday. So as I always tell you, make sure that mums and dads and carers have a good time not just you! From what I can see, you are doing an excellent job of it so far. Well done.
Mrs. P :)Talk tomorrow.

Friday 3 April
Fri 03 Apr 2020Hi everyone
Here is my first ever picture for the website just from me. These are the spider plants I was telling you about. I planted them earlier for your classes. You may notice that the picture is upside down. I will try harder next time.

Friday 3 April
Fri 03 Apr 2020Hi everyone :)
Thank you everyone for all your lovely, supportive emails. You wonderful children have been telling me about what you have been doing.... baking, PE with Joe, making models of minions in clay, walking, disco... I am so proud of you.
Your teachers have been putting lots of work on your class pages. Some of you are worried that there is a lot to complete. Please don't worry about finishing everything. Do what you can. For me and all your teachers (who miss you very much) the most important thing is that you are safe and happy.
Have lots of love and cuddles with mums and dads, or whoever looks after you. Do not be afraid, even though this is so different. St. Margaret's families are amazing and strong! Ask if you are worried. Your families will have the answers and I can help too.
A parent came up with a great idea and asked if it was ok to put a rainbow on the school gates. Yes please. That would be lovely and would bring a smile to everyone who passes school.
I have been planting spider plants for each class. (Pics on website later hopefully!!).
I have asked your teachers to have a rest over the Easter holidays and spend time with their families.
I will be here to answer your emails though.
Keep safe and in touch.
Mrs P :)

Thursday 2 April 20
Thu 02 Apr 2020Dear Parents and Carers
Thank you for all your lovely messages and pictures today. I have had a range.... new hair cuts, baking, children showing me their fish tanks, PE with Joe obviously!! I will try to put a picture of my fish tank with .... yes my problem fish tomorrow. Charlotte will have to help me because I am a dinosaur technology wise.!
School is closed for tomorrow and the Easter holidays. This is because no one needed a place in school. I know that this may change in the coming weeks.
As school is closed, your teachers will not be putting work on the website for you until after Easter. This is because you all deserve a holiday. Your teachers have children at home as well and those that they need to care for. I have told them that they have to do this. The last three weeks have been a big change for all of us and we need to look out for each other. You have all been fantastic!
I know it feels weird to email your head teacher, but I have really loved it. This is a time for developing families and this is what we are doing.
I have told your teacher have a rest after tomorrow, but I will still be here to give you a daily update. (Sorry guys ;)
Keep safe and in touch.
Mrs. P ::)))

Update 01/04/20
Wed 01 Apr 2020Dear Parents and Carers
I hope you are all well. I finally feel as if I am settling into this different way of living. I hope you are too. It has been a big shock for all of us and very uncomfortable at times. Thank you so much for making the massive effort to keep your children at home. It has been especially appreciated by those staff who have children themselves. There have been no parents requesting a place for the rest of this week. Therefore school is closed.
No one has asked for place in school for the Easter Weeks. Therefore I have spoken to Coach Lean (he was running the club over Easter) and told him the club is not viable. School will close for the Easter holidays.
On a lighter note, my day started well with P.E with Joe. It was a hard workout though!
I have also been looking at the things you have been covering in music this year. It looks very interesting, but I can't deny feeling a little depressed at the some of the bands you have been learning about. For example, Deep Purple. I saw them in my University Days and they were fabulous. I lived through what is now your history. :)
I hope that you are all keeping busy and well. Please do email and tell me what you are up to.
Mrs. Perry.
God Bless.

Tuesday 31 March
Tue 31 Mar 2020Dear Parents,
I hope you are all keeping well?
In these difficult times I am aware that some families may be suffering financial hardship because of lack of work. I have been informed by Bury's Early Help Team that if I contact them then they can organise food parcels. Please let me know if you are interested in this service.
Also, please could you let school know if you are a Key Worker and you need a school place over the Easter holidays. It still remains that places are only available if their is no alternative. However, if you do need a place, please let us know as soon as possible so that I can plan forward.
You will be glad to know that pump in the fish tank is now working brilliantly and the tank is clean!! Josh asked me why it is that when the tank is clean there seems to be more fish in it! If anyone can answer that do let me know the secret.
Keep safe and well.
Mrs. Perry :)

Monday 30/03/20 Update
Mon 30 Mar 2020Hi everyone
I hope that you are all keeping well today??
Is it me or was 'PE with Joe' a real challenge this morning. Charlotte and I then went out for a run. (A short one).
We came across a police officer in the park. We were worried because my niece got stopped when she went out running and was told to go home. I was rather hoping the police officer would tell us to go home .... but no! He was a very cheerful chap. So we had to keep on running!
You will be glad to know that the fish survived the night. They look a bit clearer today! Josh (Mr. Perry) is here to sort them out now.
Thank you for all your lovely comments.
Take care of each other.
I miss you all.
Mrs P :)

Sunday's update
Sun 29 Mar 2020Hi everyone!! :)
Hope you have had a good Sunday.
As there have been no requests for a school place tomorrow I am closing school once again. Of course this means that I will be back to PE with Joe, or Charlotte's (my daughter's) punishing work outs at 9am!! followed by a run.
:(
I am glad that you are all staying at home and keeping as safe as possible. I know that shifts may change tomorrow and that school may need to open to meet your needs. School will only open for those who have no other alternative.
Today I have learned to look after my fish. You may wonder why this is??
I have tropical fish at home that Josh (Mr Perry to you in Year 6!!) looks after. Since he can't visit I have had to look after them myself today!! It is a bit of a disaster as the pump has given up the ghost. Give it a thump he says.... but not too hard or you will break it. Anyway, I will let you know if they are still alive tomorrow!!
Have a safe evening at home, chilling out in front of the telly.
Lots of love
Mrs Perry xx
