Dearne Valley Trip
Wednesday:
The children have arrived safely, made their beds and completed their first task, the low ropes!
All are settled and getting ready for dinner!
Dinner was delicious! Burger/ chicken burger and chips.
Children are loving their mini Olympic Games competition before bedtime- I think we will have some very sleepy Y6s very shortly 😴
Thursday
Good morning from Dearne Valley! The children were fantastically behaved at bedtime and are now up and looking forward to a full day of activities. Next stop- breakfast! After that, the children will be testing their survival skills building rafts!
Raft building was lots of fun! Both teams worked fantastically together to create their rafts. Nobody sank, but a few took a dive! We are back to our dorms, showered and on our way to lunch.
After lunch, we went abseiling. The children were very brave and some even jumped down the abseiling wall!
Archery was so much fun!
We’ve finished dinner and are now by the camp fire singing songs and playing games before we head back to our dorms for bed. A brilliant end to a brilliant day!
Friday
Year 6 are up, dressed, packed, fed and currently competing in the crate challenge! We have one activity, the night line obstacle course, left before lunch and then home. What a fantastic trip we have had!
