Headteacher's Welcome
I am very proud to be the Headteacher of St.Margaret’s C.E. Primary School and would like to welcome you to our website.
We are a happy, friendly school with a wonderful, committed team of staff and governors. Our mission is:
'work hard, dream big and never give up'
Our Christian values of Respect, Friendship, Resilience, Forgiveness and Trust lie at the heart of everything we do to ensure our children believe in themselves to be the best they can be. All our values are underpinned by our core value of Love.
Our most recent Ofsted (October, 2024) and SIAMS inspections (November, 2023) are testament to the hard work and dedication of the children, staff and governors at St.Margaret's.
We are delighted to retain our 'Good' Ofsted outcome and that in SIAMS we are are 'living up to our foundations as a church school'.
You can read the full reports in our 'key information' but some of the highlights which really reflect our lovely school are:
A mission, to love everyone including yourself, shines through every facet of life at St Margaret’s.
Children in this school are remarkable with exemplary behaviours; attitudes to learning are exceptional.
The Christian vision shapes a culture where everyone recognises the balance between their personal freedoms and their responsibility to love others.
Pupils celebrate diversity and understand that the Christian values they embody are for everyone.
Pupils succeed academically because of high expectations and the encouragement to aim high now and for the future.
At St.Margaret’s, we believe in everyone going above and beyond every day and encourage all our children to have high aspirations and big dreams. We are a close-knit community with a strong community identity.
Every child is special and unique at St.Margaret’s and it is a privilege for us to play a part in their learning and development. By providing an inclusive curriculum for our children, we provide them with meaningful and engaging learning experiences that will prepare them for life in the 21st Century.
Parent voice:
We've felt listened to, supported and like the school genuinely care for the children.
It feels like our child's wellbeing is important to the school and that's been so lovely.
It feels very inclusive and like the school want to improve where they can.
It’s a small church school where I believe children are strongly recognised for their hard work.
Strong curriculum and spacious grounds.
The teachers are engaging and work hard.
A real personal feeling within the school. The underlying theme of love one another.
We warmly welcome visitors to our school. Please contact the school if you would like a look around to find out more about us.
