    Dear Parents and Carers,

As school moves in to the last week of term can I send a plea out to all of you? I know that the Government has relaxed all COVID restrictions but here in school we are remaining cautious to protect staff and pupils as we move towards the summer holidays. I heard on the news this morning that there is a 'natural break' because schools have finished for summer. Clearly, many, including St. Margaret's have not. It would be fantastic to complete the term without sending any bubbles home. If that were to happen, then it would have a knock on effect on families who would have to isolate at the beginning of the holidays.

If your child is unwell they need to be taken for a PCR test. This is the advice of the Bury Public Health Team, because of the rising numbers in the area.

If your child is unwell please do not send them in to school, take them for a PCR test.

Please help to keep everyone here safe and well.

    Mrs. Perry.

    Dear Parents and Carers

We have got to the end of another week. Well done everyone!

It was so lovely to welcome parents to our Sports Days. It felt like we were able to do something 'normal' for the first time in a very long while.

It was also lovely to see the Year 6 children off on their day trips. I realised that I had not been able to see children off for two years and I felt rather sad about the things we took for granted and what we have missed.

Hopefully, things will return to normal over time. Having said that, all systems will remain in place at least  until the end of term, despite the Government changes that will come in to place on the 19th July.

The issue we now have is that the Government and Public Health England advice is different. St. Margaret's will be following the Local Health Team's advice, because it reflects the local COVID situation and numbers in Bury remain very high.

I will keep in touch and tell you about the systems St. Margaret's will be utilising in September as soon as I know them.

Keep safe and well. Have a lovely weekend!

    Dear Parents and Carers

We have got to the end of another week safely and the end of term is in sight. Please continue to keep to systems we have in place in school. We would not want to fall at the last hurdle and have anyone having to isolate in the holidays.

Thank you to the parents of the children who enjoyed sports day yesterday. It was a lovely occasion, shared with you safely. I must admit I was nervous about it but I think that is as a result of habit over the last 18 months.

On Monday, school will be open as usual, but I get the feeling that not everyone will be in school on time! If that is the case then no one will be given a late mark on Monday. I am asking staff to plan a flexible morning with lovely activities around the result we are all hoping for!

Have a lovely weekend and let's hope for a win!!!

    Dear Parents and Carers,

I thought I would email you following the Governments announcements this week. I know that restrictions are being lifted. However, the arrangements at St. Margaret's will remain the same until the end of term. As soon as I can give you more information about what the Autumn Term will look like I will do so.

Have a lovely evening. Let's hope for an England win!

    Mrs. Perry
