Todays phonics lesson is on digraph ar.

Attached is the challenge. Can you do both sides.

Maybe you could have a go at some of the activities on the phase 3 phonics PowerPoint we posted on Friday.

Wk beginning: 22.3.2021

This week we will be having a morning phonics session on zoom each morning at 9.30am. We have been recapping phase 3 sounds.

This week we will be looking at sounds ai, ee, oo and oa. I have attached a daily writing challenge for each sound to complete after our phonics sessions. Please encourage children to do these independently without adult support. When your child has completed them maybe go back over and correct with them if needed.

I have attached a copy of all of the phase 3 sounds that you can print and cut up to make flash cards. We have learnt all of these sounds. Children need to be able to recognise these as well as recall them to write. I have also attached a phase 3 sound mat to help parents with the sound. Use the sound mat as a reference not a teaching tool as the children will learn the picture and not the written sound.

There is a need to practise correct letter formation and pencil control. Letter formation and pencil control sheets are attached. As well as reading and writing activity sheets.
