Dear Parents and Carers,
I know you will have heard about the positive case in our Year 6 class. There has been another positive case in our Year 5 class, confirmed by a lateral flow test. In accordance with government guidelines, we will wait for the results of the PCR test and confirm the outcome as soon as possible. Year 5 children should not attend school until we inform you that the PCR test is negative.
Please please do not send your child in to school if they are unwell. The usual symptoms still stand: a new cough; temperature and loss of taste and / or smell.
There are other symptoms added to the list that are now recognised: headache; tummy ache / upset stomach; fatigue and sore throat. At St. Margaret's children have also complained of feeling generally unwell and have tested positive.
As I said in a previous email, we are 'not out of the woods yet' and this is certainly proving to be the case.
